Rochester’s 10th annual Hospice Regatta takes place on Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16, hosted by Genesee Yacht Club . With more than 70 sailboats expected to race in three fleets on Saturday, plus hundreds of Hospice supporters attending wonderful parties on Friday and Saturday, this is the largest charity regatta on Lake Ontario.

Proceeds from the event benefit Hospice services provided by Lifetime Care, the Rochester area’s leader in helping families care for loved ones who are terminally ill. Over the past nine years, the Regatta has raised more than $400,000 to support improvement and expansion of Hospice services, including creation of the new
Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Greece.

Friday, August 15:
• Hospice Regatta Community Cruise, 2:30 - 5:30 pm
• Hospice Regatta Clambake, 6 pm, Genesee Yacht Club
Featuring a “Salute to NOLA” with live music by RedLine Zydeco and other special treats!

Saturday, August 16:
• Sailboat racing on Lake Ontario, 10 am - 3 pm
• Commodore’s Review/Parade of Boats, 3:15 pm (approx) at Genesee Yacht Club (GYC)
• Party at GYC (barbecue dinner, beverages & raffles), 4 pm
Featuring music by The Fakirs (Phil Marshall Trio)
• Awards Ceremony, 6:15 pm

Sunday, August 17
• Rochester Race, 10 am (Rochester Yacht Club)
